No.41 Old Town, Cowes

As you approach this three-storey townhouse you will notice the grand façade of No.41 Cowes, with its dark navy front door with pewter furniture, and quite unique roof terrace three stories above.

Inside, décor is understatedly chic with a delicate mix of both antique and period furniture, handpicked art and elegant soft furnishings.

Through the main lounge, with its wood burner, comfortable chesterfield sofas and smart TV, is the dining room, with antique dining table for up to eight, and on through to the kitchen, with all modern conveniences provided, such as coffee machine, microwave, gas hob and electric cooker, as well as separate fridge and drinks cooler. You will find everything you should need, whether staying for the weekend, or a lot longer
From either the kitchen, or the dining room, you can access the glorious, large courtyard garden to include a beautiful ‘Sun Room’ from which you can relax, cook and enjoy either inside, or out.

Upstairs, on the first floor, you will find three double bedrooms and a bathroom, with one bedroom to the front of the house grand enough to be a principal bedroom and has a King size bed, with glimpses of sea views and an elegantly designed en-suite bathroom.

All bedrooms have built in wardrobes and drawer space for your belongings, as well as a hairdryer.

Onto the Second floor, you enter into the ‘Top Floor Lounge’, where there is further comfortable seating areas, with coffee table, a bar with views out to the Solent, and a small kitchen with large bar style drinks fridge. This lounge also provides a Sonos music system and a record player and select vinyl, should you wish to use them. A perfect place to relax, entertain or gather before enjoying an evening of everything Cowes has to offer.
Turn to the left as you enter the top floor and you find yourself another principal sized bedroom with King size bed, with en-suite bathroom with shower. Again, you have glimpses to the sea from the front windows. This bedroom has huge fitted wardrobe space and a smart TV.

Stepping back and moving from the ‘top floor lounge’ and through the external door, you reach a terrace from which you overlook the courtyard garden and onto the sunroom from one way, and across Cowes and down to the sea in the other.

Yet, incredibly there is more to experience, by taking the purpose-built steel staircase up to the roof terrace, you will be taken aback by the 360 degree views, 180 degrees of which are a huge expanse of the Solent.

Large, comfortable sofa seating, coffee table, large umbrella shade and power points means that this space can be enjoyed from Morning breakfast and coffee, relaxing lunches and afternoon book reading, through to balmy night dinners or gatherings for sundowner drinks.

From the roof terrace you have views across to the mouth of Medina River, East Cowes and Queen Victoria’s Osborne House to the Right, whilst both left and central, across the Solent waters you see the mainland, even clearly glimpse landmarks like Portsmouth’s spinnaker tower, making this a magical space even during dark evenings to relax and enjoy the twinkling lights from afar.
